Software development studio · Camarillo, California

We build software that ships, and keeps working after it does.

Senior engineers design, build, and launch your product, with AI coding agents doing the typing and a person reviewing every change before it merges. You work directly with the people writing your code, and you own all of it from day one.

In writing

What every client gets, before we start

We would rather show you the contract than a quote wall. These three lines are in every proposal we send.

  1. In every proposal01

    Ownership

The repository lives in your GitHub account from the first commit. Hosting, domains, and API keys are in your name. Nothing has to be handed over at the end because you already have it.

  2. In every proposal02

    Review

A senior engineer reads every change before it merges. AI agents write code fast. A person decides what ships, and their name is on the merge.

  3. In every proposal03

    Warranty

If something we shipped breaks in the 30 days after launch, we fix it at no charge. Then you get a runbook, so the next engineer is never guessing.

What we build

Full-stack development, from first commit to production

MVPs, customer-facing apps, internal tools, and AI features. One senior team owns the architecture, the code, and the launch.

Most requested

Web applications

SaaS platforms, customer portals, dashboards, and internal tools on React and Next.js. Fast pages, accessible interfaces, and the plumbing behind them: auth, billing, roles, audit logs, and the admin screens your team will use every day.

  • React and Next.js
  • TypeScript end to end
  • Postgres data model
  • Auth, roles, and billing
  • CI/CD from day one
  • Performance and SEO budgets

Typical timeline: 4 to 8 weeks

Our process

From first call to launch in weeks

Four steps, the same on every project. You see working software early and often, and nothing ships without a senior engineer signing off.

  1. 01 DAY 1 TO 2

    Discovery

A 30-minute call, then a written plan. Within 48 hours you get the scope, the architecture, the timeline, and a fixed price.

    • Written scope
    • Technical plan
    • Timeline and fixed price
  2. 02 DAY 3 TO 5

    Design

Wireframes, then high-fidelity screens in Figma. You approve the design before we write production code.

    • UI designs
    • Clickable prototype
    • Design system
  3. 03 WEEK 1 TO 3

    Develop

One-week sprints on a live staging link. AI agents draft code in parallel; a senior engineer reviews every change before it merges.

    • Working features
    • Weekly demo
    • Your repository
  4. 04 WEEK 4

    Deploy

Production launch with monitoring and error tracking turned on. Then 30 days of fixes on us, and a runbook for whoever runs it next.

    • Production deploy
    • Monitoring and alerts
    • 30-day fix warranty

Systems we have built and run

Each one is in production. We say what we measured, and we do not print what we did not.

An operations platform for a tax-services firm

The challenge
Billing ran on a spreadsheet one person kept by hand. Refunds were spotted in IRS alert emails, matched to fees in the accounting system, and invoiced from memory.
Our solution
A platform that reads the accounting ledger, turns IRS alert emails into refund records, pulls transcripts through the IRS e-Services API, and routes inbound mail with AI behind a human approval step.

Why Machina Totalis

The speed of AI, with an engineer accountable for every line

AI coding tools got fast. They also ship bugs with total confidence. We use them for what they are good at and keep senior people on what breaks in production.

  • You talk to the engineers

There is no account manager between you and the code. The people building your product are in your Slack channel and on your weekly demo.

  • Fixed price per milestone

Every milestone has a written definition of done and a price before it starts. No hourly billing and no surprise invoices.

  • AI does the typing, people make the calls

Coding agents draft features, tests, and migrations in parallel, so we move faster than a team our size. A senior engineer reviews and merges every change.

  • Your code, your accounts

The repo, hosting, domains, and API keys are yours from day one. No lock-in and no licence fees. Take it anywhere.

  • Built to run, not to demo

Tests, error tracking, monitoring, and a runbook come with every launch. If it breaks, it says so, and someone knows what to do.

  • We stay after launch

A 30-day fix warranty on what we shipped, and a monthly plan if you want us on your roadmap every week.

FAQ

Common questions

The short answers. More on the FAQ page.

What do you build?

Web applications, mobile apps, MVPs, APIs and backends, AI features, and business automation. Most projects are a product a company sells or a system a company runs on.

How long does a project take?

MVPs usually take 2 to 4 weeks, full web applications 4 to 8 weeks, and mobile apps 6 to 10 weeks. Your proposal states your dates in writing after the discovery call.

How does pricing work?

Fixed price per milestone, agreed in writing before work starts. After a 30-minute call we send a proposal with the scope, the timeline, and the price within 48 hours. We do not bill by the hour.

Do I own the source code?

Yes, all of it, from day one. The repository lives in your account and we work in it, so there is nothing to hand over at the end.

Do you sign NDAs?

Yes, before you share anything sensitive. Read-only access is enough for us to estimate work on an existing codebase.

Do you use AI to write the code?

Yes, and we say so. AI coding agents draft code and tests in parallel, which is why we are fast. A senior engineer reviews every change before it merges, and nothing reaches production because a model said it was fine. We never use your code to train anything.

Can you take over an existing codebase?

Yes, including apps built with AI app builders. We start with a code review and a ranked list of what can hurt you, then quote the fix. Run the free scan first if you want a head start.

What happens after launch?

Every launch includes a 30-day fix warranty and a runbook in your repo. If you want ongoing work, we offer a monthly plan with a named engineer. If you do not, you keep everything and we step back.
